HISTORY: Used in ancient Greece, Rome, India and the Middle East and China for medicinal purposes.
PROPERTIES
Antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, anti-microbial, antiviral, antifungal, antioxidant, antibacterial, antitumor
Considered Uses
Eyes: conjunctivitis/pink eye (application to the outer eye)
Throat: May help decrease swelling in the throat,
Gastrointestinal: Decrease swelling in the mouth, gingivitis, indigestion, ulcers, possibly hemorrhoids and anal fissures
Genitourinary: Menstrual cramps
Skin: Wound healing, rashes (German Commission E), inflammation, burns, eczema, skin ulcers, boils, insect bites

CAUTION/CONTRAINDICATIONS: Certain plant allergies (including ragweed), sleeping medications, anxiety medications
