HISTORY: Used for medicinal purposes since the Middle Ages.
PROPERTIES: Antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, immune booster, antibacterial, analgesic, anti-cancer, antiseptic, anti-cancer, and antifungal, carminative
Considered Uses
Respiratory: Asthma, cough
Eyes: Helps prevent macular degeneration, corneal, retinal damage
and cataracts.
Cardiovascular: May help lower blood pressure
Gastrointestinal: Oral antiseptic, halitosis, antiflatulent, constipation, indigestion,
possible increases liver health, nausea, IBS, acid reflux
Genitourinary: Increases menstrual flow/helps regulate menstruation,
PMS (premenstrual syndrome), fertility, decreases menstrual cramping, may be helpful for urinary problems and urinary tract infections (UTIs) (German Commission E) and may help prevent kidney stones
Musculoskeletal: Vitamin K in parsley helps keep bones healthy, curbs osteoporosis (boosts bone growth), decreases joint stiffness, and reduces rheumatoid arthritis.
Neurologic: Decreases neuronal damage caused by Alzheimer's
Skin: Helps with acne, decreases dark patches, insect bites, increases hair growth, soothes skin and bacterial skin issues
